  3. So right now I have two questions
    1) Why in genesis 1.28 does God refer to himself in the plural?
    2) In John what does he mean by the word?

  4. this is what i think/ what i've been told before
    1] Its a reference to the trinity and that God is more than just god, he also includes the spirit and Christ
    2] The word is again in reference to Christ, i believe...?

  5. In answer to why put Genesis and John together, my guess would be that Genesis is the beginning, God's gift of the world..of Life. John would also be a beginning..God's gift of His Son...of New Life in Jesus Christ.

  6. Yes, the Word is Christ--through which all things were made. As in, when God spoke in Genesis, things came into being. Christ is that...we tend to think of Christ as Jesus, and Christ is that too, but Christ is also this divine active part of the Trinity. In a sense, we are all words from God brought about by The Word...
